Hei-Matau
Hei-Matau is the fish hook. It symbolizes prosperity. Much of Maori traditional food is fish. The fish were so plentiful to the Maori that the simple ownership of a fish hook meant prosperity. On long fishing trips, the Maori wore the Hei-Matau as a good omen. And prosperity is the yours when you give or wear the Hei-Matau.
Each Hei Matau that is carved will be unique.

Koru
This carving integrates the Koru pattern into its design. The Koru represents a new beginning or re-birth, and is derived from the new shoots of the New Zealand fern (Punga)

Adze (with inlaid Paua)
This carving represents the Maori adze tool. This fine pendant is embellished with inlaid mother-of-pearl from the Paua shell, which was and is a favorite decorative material for the Maori.

Inanga

This carving represents one of the Maori delicacies. Inanga is whitebait, tiny fish that run by the million in the river mouths in spring. Wearing this pendant ensures that the wearer will never go hungry for amything.

Heru
Heru was the ceremonial headress worn by Maori men. Nowdays it is a unisex hair adornment.
